If I show up for my shift and there is no work or they send me home, I get paid for the entire shift even if I don't work it. You would have to clock out and then enter the hours left on the clipboard in the service center. I didn't read all your posts so I don't know why you were sent home.
How many hours were you scheduled and how many hours of that shift did you actually work?
Now that I've had a day or so to calm down I am thinking about letting them know that I deleted references to the store from the social media pages.
Perhaps that might calm them down on their end.
It's not that I don't really enjoy working for Kroger, it is the conditions underneath which I work.
I would like to change my attitude toward the store and the company, it is just that I have seen so much stupidity that is it a rough thing to do.
It is also difficult to work for a company that only wants you to work for two days out of the week and sends an impression that you are not appreciated.

I would talk to your union representative first about that. That may or may not work to your benefit. In some ways, your union representative can be seen as your lawyer. He or she usually (although certainly not always) can advise you on what's best to say and what should go left unsaid. Yeah, you do sometimes have to go with your gut instinct if you feel strongly enough about something, but the union has more experience dealing with store management than you do and is also better versed on the policies and rules that both the company and the union agreed to during the last contract negotiation, including the smaller details and points, which can sometimes help you, or work against you, the most.
And to add to the above's post: I don't care how friendly they are to you, never trust a store manager. Yeah some of them are easy going and WILL work with you, but that could be the only one like that out of the other two co-managers. NEVER JUST A UNIT MANAGER PERIOD.
