You accepted a job at Kroger. Before you started I am sure you were given a job description and told how much you would make per hour. Since you work for Kroger you must have agreed to these conditions. It still amazes me that people agree to work at a specific pay rate and then after a week or two think they deserve to be moved to top rate. No one seems to believe in working their way up anymore. Personally I blame the school system. When I went to school you graduated after 12th grade. Now days kids graduate from kindergarten, 6th grade, 9th grade and 12th grade. They grow up expecting rewards just for showing up. Frontendslave you also seem to think your actions have no consequences. You post something about Kroger online where you are recognized and then complained when called out for it. In fact, by your post nothing that happens in your life seems to be your fault. Grow up and accept responsibility for your actions. When you quit or get fired your Kroger will be better off.
And, yes I know I don't have to read your post. It just seems to be some morbid fascination of mine. I see your post and just have to see what the world has done to the baby man now
I am baffled that FrontEndSlave is hated so much, when he's simply being more vocal about all the same things we ALL go through with this company.
He's well within in his right, and has every reason to view the company the way he does. I talk like him on a daily basis at my store. Seriously **** this company.
You cannot always work your way up in Kroger.
Also I was a courtesy clerk for 2 yrs before going to another department. It is very possible to work your ass off so much that you SHOULD BE getting 40hrs AND more money. It is more than just bagging groceries and pushing carts around. There's gobacks, there sweeps, there's BATHROOM CLEANING(Do I need to say why this isn't worth 7.25/hr and 13 hours?(and be off for 4 days straight..)). cleaning shelves, CLEANING CLEANING, and nevermind that your fellow baggers can be a bunch of sorry asses, "hiding" everywhere, leaving you being the only bagger upfront. With inconsiderate cashiers getting angry with you for not coming to their aid RIGHT THEN IN THERE. Do NOT getting me started with breaks.
So back off, and remember who YOU work for. Kroger ain't no damn cake walk.

Umm... no we do not go through the same thing with this company.
During my tenure with Kroger I was never harassed by a psychotic co-manager, and my front end manager actually allowed me to squeeze in hours here and there.
A lot of the other people on here have similar experiences.
No, don't lump us in one, unfavorable group to make yourself sound like you're speaking on behalf of all the oppressed. :\
It will never be his fault according to him. Yes we do all bitch but some people try not to do it all the time like a female on her period.. and here comes nutrition whore to save him licking his ******* some more.
Ha ha, girls have cooties!
Do you even have a job yet, or do they not allow 12 year olds to work in your state.
It's okay. My one-man-fan-club has probably just been molested by an uncle or some other male relative (or maybe teacher) and is taking it out on this forum. No big deal.
We can all be angry about our duties, managers, coworkers, etc., but at the end of the day we are just paid by the hour, so screw it. If you take the job too seriously, it will drive you insane.
