Log In, 1. for cao, 3. for order review, 1. for grocery.
After you scan item, function(upper right hand corner), function 2. press enter(4 times) to get to space, enter amount of cases you want. Function 5 to save.
Someone should really be showing you this in person. If nothing above sounds familiar, ask someone at work to help you.
how do u make an order in grocery with the handheld?
If you have to ask, then you shouldn't be ordering. By the time a person is given the responsibility of making out an order, he or she should know how to scan and upload an order.
You would think that would be the case but sometimes in retail, as you probably know, things happen like people abruptly quitting or calling in at the last moment and you are thrown into a situation where you are forced to step up. Anyway, thanks for the instructions. It was very helpful.

Function + 3 = is the movement history. This is very important to use.
Ctrl(C) + O(the letter) = your order history. Also important.
I'm gonna give you a quick crash course for the RF gun's UI:
BOH = Balance On Hand. The amount supposedly on the shelf. This is the field you will be fixing the most. And it CAN **** up **** if you let it get out of hand. (no pun intended)
MIN = Minimum. The amount from the BOH that CAO "waits for" before generating an OpOr for it.
EXAMPLE: If the BOH says 50, and MIN is 45, CAO will keep trying to bring it in. IF you drop the MIN to 30, CAO will probably wait for about 1 truck before adding this to an order.
PAK = The amount per case.
ALOC = Allocation; The amount that can go to the shelf. NOTE: This is not always accurate and is frequently adjusted by the district offices because they think all stores have the same shelf carrying capacity. Change this amount to the correct one ALWAYS. To make your ordering life much easier. EXAMPLE: If the shelf can hold 30, and the PAK is 6(the ALOC usually takes in account for the SIZE of the product) this means it can hold 6 cases. If you're down to 1 case, order 6.
PAK and ALOC go hand and hand.
Mv1 = Amount sold in 1 day.
Mv7 = Amount sold in 7 days.
Mv28 = Amount sold in 28 days.
OpOr = Current editable amount of cases if any that CAO generated for the next delivery of this order.
OnOr = Amount of cases being shipped to the store on the next delivery from the previous order.
Grocery orders close at 4:00PM. When its closed, you cannot reopen it. Not even a manager can.
Don't ever put "no order needed" and then "OPEN" the order as a way to make a customized truck of some sort to bring in very specific items, or keep specific items from coming in. CAO is setup to recreate the order when the status has been changed to OPEN and will double up on whatever changes you made prior to this. If you ever need to throttle an order for any reason(for Grocery I do not recommend this because the department is so high volume but..), DECREASE the order, no more than at least 30%, or get some suggestions from your store manager. Always when in doubt about your orders, ask a store manager for a second opinion. Take in account for the amount of help you will have on each truck as well.
