The wind chill where I live is supposed to be -30 tomorrow. How much do you all wanna bet that they'll still send the the CCs out on carts? I'm not doing it. It's just too cold. I'm sorry, but I don't wanna risk losing my fingers and/or toes just to get carts. Nope.
But Kroger will argue that you agreed to do it when you signed on to work for them, that is is part of your job description and how else are they supposed to get back into the store.

/welcome to Kroger
Actually, I never agreed to it when I took the job because I was hired in as a cashier and became a CC in September.

You still agreed to it by staying and working a CC.
If you don't like the terms of your new assignment, then you should've just left. By staying, you essentially just said "Yeah, sure, I'll do it".
