Full timer working less than 40 hours.

I was looking at the schedule in the break room and noticed that one of our full timers is working less than 40 hours a week.  How can you be listed as full time and work only 24 hours a week?  It wasn't only this week.

One of our baggers here is full time, yet they give this other guy more hours and he's only part time. The bagger gets maybe 24 hours a week. Kind of crappy, but if they don't do anything about it it's not my concern :/

Under some contracts, old-timers don't have to maintain 40 hrs. Only thing I can think of.

could be a mistake, gaming the schedule or using personal days or because they're doing something else like being loaned to another store or training.

I've got one full timer who pays off people to finish his shifts. I can't believe corporate haven't pulled his status.

no mistake, but it's probably a old contract.

I have been a full timer for 40 years and no choose to work about 30. Its by choice. Manager loves that so they dont have to schedule me, and in trade I get to pick my shifts. Sometimes I work 20-30. Its a pretty good gig. Close to retirement and financially doing well.

If they work night shift it may also be a scheduling error. eSchedule is still broken here so it spits out random hours for everyone. Full timers getting 16/24/30 hours, working day shifts, it's all messed up. So we hand write our schedules to avoid all of that mess until it's fixed.
