How many days minimum do I have to work nights, before I can work day shifts?

The only thing I can find in the Union book states that I can occasionally work day shifts, while maintain my night pay (not talking night premium). They have me coming in at 4am, which isn't as bad as when I was coming in at 11pm-12am, but I'd still like to not have to work 5 days at that hour. I've heard I can split 3 "nights", 2 days, but I haven't my store manager still hasn't gotten back to me on that. Does anyone know?

You must be in a special store, because here we only have night PREMIUM. No night pay.

We have night pay. It's the same as the FT pay scale, but the progression to top rate is twice as fast.

Yup, this is exactly it. Still haven't gotten any clarification from my union rep(s). Seems no one has an answer.

I'm confused. Why would someone who works mostly days be entitled to getting night pay all week? Shouldn't you only get this night pay for the nights you actually work?

I agree, but this is what my management suggested to me. I've heard they're trying to phase out overnight Drug/GM stockers, so I'm thinking they're tossing me a bone for hiring on as a night stocker.
