so when i started with kroger a few months ago i told them how i go to school and work another job and they said that is fine. i put my availability in the computer and they asked me to write it down for them multiple times. EVERY single week since then... my schedule is ALWAYS wrong. they place me on days i put as unavailable. i am very flexible but they still always put it down incorrectly. i checked online to make sure i put my hours in correctly and i did. i get tired and feel annoying asking them every single week to change my schedule but how hard is it to work with my availability?! anyone else have this problem?
As of recently, yes. I ended up getting another job and I set my new availability to work around that job since they give more hours (just not full-time hours yet), and to give myself enough time between jobs to eat/sleep/piss, and they pretty much tried blowing it off, and cut my hours to practically nothing.
Some will work with school schedules, but once they realize that there's another job involved, they try to mess with you.
No s-h-i-t they try to mess with you.
But know your rights and know what they can and can not do.
The union may or may not help depending on how much the local will work for you.

Sounds like all you need to do is check your availability on your eshedule portal. If it's listed correctly, your schedule writer is knowingly violating your set availability. If it isn't correct, submit a new one with your correct availability and if they deny it, take it to store mgmt.

yep, it is definitely correct on the eschedule. they just don't care.
They did this to me all the time. My union rep said I didn't have to work outside of my availability and I didn't have to show up for work. It's a hassle but just claim hours you can work and the other days just draw a line through it and say you aren't coming in. Do it enough an they finally fix the problem.

The availability shown on your portal is what the computer uses, so they are knowingly violating it.
