Harassment?

I'm called into office almost every single day with no union representation. Always the manager and a co manager telling me how awful they think I am. I make all my orders, never miss out of stocks, displays and shippers are 100% compliant. It's always I'm not mean enough to my team, or why isnt my 7 hour load ran 2 hours after I get there.  why dont I have my 3 seater swings put together, even though, I'm 5'1 and the box they're in is way taller than me and almost 100 pounds? They had me balling on my hands and knees trying to drag thus swing and put it together by myself. When I ask for help the manager says it's not his job to figure out solutions for my problems. The co manager give me a 1 on PED and asked if my late husband did everything for me. Is that even legal? What's it his business? And why would you make me try to feel inferior because I can't lift almost a hundred pounds and my husbands dead?

Unless you're having discipline put on your record from these meetings, it's not a union issue. However, what they're doing to you most definitely sounds like harassment. Check your state's wiretapping laws to see if you are allowed to record these conversations without their knowledge. If you are, do so and document everything that's happening to you.

And good luck.

I would wiretap EVEN if it's against company policy. Record this horrendous treatment. See if something can't be done. This inhumane

I seriously have been considering recording these so called meetings, but dont wont reason for termination. Right now they have no reason. I do know an anonymous call was made to HR on my behalf so other people are noticing. It just sucks they drag you down so low then expect you to ealk out of there and be the happiest you can be to customers.

I wouldn't talk to them again without a union rep present.  Period.  I would also file a grievance since they bring up your personal life, tell you you are awful, etc.  That's harassment.  Constructive criticism is one thing, but what they are doing to you is so wrong.

It's not a matter of policy, it's a matter of law. In many states, you need all parties involved in the conversation to consent to the recording. In others (such as my state), only one person involved in the conversation needs to consent (the one recording) and it'll be fine.

You want to make sure that if you choose to record someone in secret, that it's not going to get you into legal trouble. If your states laws require multiple parties consent to the recording, then simply refuse to talk to them or anything without a union rep available.  Check this link to make sure your state allows "one party consent" laws:

Refuse to speak with them if they are talking to you about your job behind close doors. Don't stand for their harassment. Do not let someone who is in their pocket represent you, either.

They're trying to push you to step down... They either don't like you, or have someone they like better they want to promote or transfer. Don't fool yourself.... Getting someone to step down instead of getting them demoted dodges all the union mess since it's voluntary.

Call your coordinator, explain the situation, ask if they know any areas you are coming up short in and how to improve, ask for a transfer to get a fresh start.
