So schedule comes out on Thursday, I usually look at it on Friday and usually no changes happen between now and Saturday, but I check it just in case.  When I get my schedule, I make plans to work around said schedule, which includes how much money for gas I'll be spending.  Random schedule changes that was never told to me obviously ****s this balance up, throws off numbers and plans.  It's bad enough that Kroger's scheduling is so erratic that you can't plan until Thursday night (and hope that they don't ninja change it on you)

I come in on Sunday, see it modified without my knowledge ("last minute change", was WRITTEN IN), then when asked about it, she said "oh well, it's your availability".  Umm, yeah fine, but I do plan what I'm doing through the week.  When I don't even get asked "oh can you work?", even giving a quick call to let me know would've been nice (my other manager used to do this).

WHY CAN'T THEY SCHEDULE PROPERLY IN THE FIRST PLACE?!

If they changed it AFTER Saturday at noon, in most districts, you don't have to work it. Just work your original schedule.

most likely one of your co workers had plans and the schedule writer had to replace him/or her last minute. I'd rather them call me in instead of finding out on the schedule cause I only look at the website once and the paper one once when it comes out.  BUT i like hours so idk!

I didn't care really, I just would've wished for ample time since well, what if I did have plans to do other stuff? Seeing as I only had 14 hours this week, that put me to 18, and that would be my first check over $50 in about a month.

I'd rather them actually schedule me the hours rather than calling me in because, especially at the end of the week, the odds of me actually agreeing to come in on a day off goes down. I got **** to do, should've scheduled properly.

And our deli is so short staffed that the odds of any part-timer getting requested days off are very slim.  In fact, I have a doctor's appointment which was last minute (it's a follow-up that I need to do ASAP) and I'm probably gonna have to call out because I'll be put on the schedule anyways, despite me mentioning it.
