Fuel surveys
Permalink

Okay so customers get those surveys at the bottom of the receipt for 50 fuel points. I was told employees were NOT allowed to do them but now on our receipts it says we can? But.. why? So an employee can put "So-so is the best cashier everrrr!" or "this store is so ****ty they pay their employees nothing!!" or  "THE FRONT END SUPERVISOR IS A DICK WHO WONT LET ME DO WHAT I WANT!!"

do they not care anymore?

They care about numbers, not customers. Yes, you can do them, but be careful what you put on there. Who knows, perhaps the system can track your plus card number and see who wrote what.

Don't do it.

Had a cashier fired last year because she would reprint receipts of customers that got the surveys and she'd have the points added to dummy accounts for her to use. Management caught on.

So, yeah, don't do it. Have a family member do it for the points, but never yourself.

The only way for that to occur is if the cashier used a dummy card on the order for customers that didnt have a card, so the customer that had a card wouldnt catch on. A customer states they dont have a card, so the cashier says thats OK, I'll give you the discount, then the cashier scans a dummy card for all the customers to accumulate points. this works for just a little bit and then the card is flagged, video is retrieved, and the cashier is history. You can only game the system so long. All that for a few dollars a month off of gas.

Reprinting a customer's receipt to steal their survey code for points
=/=
Using your own, correctly printed receipt code to take the survey yourself.

Many divisions did indeed change it so employees get to take the survey. If you're getting the codes on your receipt, you're allowed to take it.

No, the way you're talking about doesn't involve the survey at all, which isn't what we're talking about.

If your division is allowing it, you can take the survey for fuel points. However, the comments will NOT show up on the OSAT report, all plus cards for associate's are marked as such, how else do you think you'd get your discount?
