Yeah, i got hired and start work tomorrow, but they never said what i should wear? Like jeans and a nice shirt? and if so, what colors? Because i have no black sneakers, so will white ones work?
If they didn't already go over the uniform with you then you are probably just doing orientation and computer training. Dress similar to how you did for the interview. If you are trying to match the uniform then dress similar to how the employees do. They will supply you with a shirt, hat and apron (if necessary) but you will be responsible for purchasing your own work pants and shoes.
you'll want to wear a pair of non-jean pants so slacks or khakis normally in a brown, grey, dark green(like hunter green) or black. You'll be provided with a work shirt once you're there. Try to wear a pair of nice shoes that you'll be comfortable standing in for long periods of time. if you have to break down and buy a pair of the dr shoals work insoles - do. DO NOT BY THE CASUAL WEAR ones; They will eat your feet.
If you're female you can wear a skirt but no shorter than knee length.
If you were hired to bag groceries you are allowed to wear a pair of non-jean shorts between memorial day(may 25th) and labor day(sept 7th).

Our courtesy clerks can wear shorts year round, so be sure you check to see what your stores dress code is, all stores don't have the same dress code.

They should give you an employee handbook at orientation and the dress code should be in it. One thing, make sure you don't loose your name tag. My store wouldn't let you clock in without one. But yet they never monitored the time clock lol!
Its important that you carry your uniform while going to work. At many medical and healthcare places, normal clothes arent allowed. Even I purchase my medical scrubs from figs as found figs scrubs for men best in the business currently.
