I'm with the other person. We don't need to lighten up, you need to get a clue about race relations in this country and how you've just said that you're better because you have lighter skin.

Why should my tax dollars pay for you? Every 3rd customer is EBT and 90% are colored. And every non white in the store that works here is also on EBT , not nmarried and popping out kids.. If ypou are on EBT WIC etc, you should have to be sterilized as not to propogate further. That will end the cycle of your abuse

I love this argument. "Oh you have a job, you shouldn't need assistance".
They wouldn't need the assistance if jobs paid a living wage. Kroger pays minimum wage and barely gives 28 hours a week to most. If you have a family to support ,it's not enough. And don't even use the "get another job" or "get an education" because getting another job isn't easy (took me 6 years and moving to 3 states), and an education no longer guarantees a better paying job. It helps, but it's not the end all anymore.
As for those "popping out kids for welfare"...that theory is outdated. You are not guaranteed extra assistance because you have another kid in some states. So no, depending on where you are, you can't just constantly pop kids out and get more money.
I am speaking from experience when I say that those who are on state assistance and work really don't want to have to rely on the state for extra help. In many states, to get cash assistance, you have to be either working, looking for work, or doing a "state-approved work activity" (ie: schooling) to even get that first check. You also need to show proof that you're doing these things. I started working at Kroger and my assistance dropped to a paltry $86. There's also a 48-month limit, so we decided to drop the cash assistance. Anyone who works and still can't make enough and needs that resource WANTS to get off and be fully self-sufficient. The welfare queen is not as prominent as you may think.

Skin color has nothing to do with racism. If it did, then one should reason that someone would be more racist toward dark skinned Blacks vs. light skinned Blacks. Racism will only end when the group in question, Blacks in this case, stop giving others a reason to have racist attitudes towards them.

Racism has always been here and it will always be here, everywhere in the world. Let's start with dark vs. light skin blacks YES, there is currently racism among those groups-----I've many times heard things like ¨I HATE that light-skinnded nigga.¨ And ¨F--K that slave black muthafuka.¨ And that's just here in the U.S.A. There are countries in Africa where the same thing goes on----in fact, many nationalized Africans look down on and despise American blacks and call them ¨cotton pickers.¨ The current flavor of the week here is that whole Confederate flag crap. My gf is Asian, and this next part took me completely off guard: EVERY ASIAN COUNTRY is prejudiced and racist against ALL the other Asian countries around them. Ha. Many of them can't even tell the difference between the nationalities, but once they know it's like ¨Oh, those Japanese are dirty!¨ and ¨The Thailandese are all liars and thieves¨ and on and on and on.
The OP for this thread used poor judgement in telling a race joke......that's all. Blasting, punishing, sanctioning against people for racist attitudes and behaviors will NOT drive those things away. Just further under ground, where people can really create more havoc----in darkness and silence.
