Welcome to Kroger.  This is normal lack of communication.

Obviously the programmer that wrote the program for new hire emails has no clue what it is like to need/want a job.  This seems to be a common question in this forum.  I am not sure why there is a lack of communication to new hires.  My store is in desperate need of new people.  Now I can understand why we don't get any.  They leave the new hires hanging.

It took me less than two weeks from applying to interviewing to being put to work.  They must be doing the hiring process differently.

Call whoever interviewed you and ask what to do next.

Let us know how it works out.

It's very different know. Core does backgrounds and such now, it's been taking a very long time. I've seen up to 6 weeks. Now, in our district anyway, they are sending new hires in, however, if drug and background isn't passed, they will be let go. I honestly don't know where they come up with this stuff

The company that does the hiring has gotten bogged down with all the requests and takes their sweet ass time getting the interviews set up or people aren't answering the phone calls.

We've been down 4 CCs since the week leading to the 4th caused them all to quit... I don't expect anything to change for at least the next few weeks if ever.
