o pretty much without going into details I was written up today by management and was told I would have a suspension pending on me. What exactly does that mean?

I think it means they'll "suspend" you as soon as they can figure out how to schedule you for it. It happens a lot.

Suspended pending: suspension indefinitely or until your termination papers are set and waiting for your aknowledgement signature

They are trying to fire you. Fortunately for you kroger is as good at firing people as they are at everything else.  biggrin
