What is the GATT program? I saw some stickers and management says we might do a full store meeting on it. My guess so far is that it's another incarnation of serving customers. But then I thought mystery shoppers were still trying to find the 3 A's.

It may be the same thing as what was posted in this thread: http://krogerforum.activeboard.com/t60680030/hospitality-officer-wtf-is-that/

They started that up at my store too. What we have on the daily schedule is H. This means that whomever has an H, they do hospitality for a certain time. Not only does it deter theft it makes customers feel important. What our manager says before each person does his/her hospitality hour is G.A.T.T. Meaning, Greet the customer. Anticipate their needs. Take to item(s). Thank customer. So far our OSAT scores have been 85-100%
Kroger likes coming up with programs though and so it could be an entirely different thing, but I knew I recognized GATT from the hospitality officer thread.
They've made the red vests do that for years. Say hi to everyone who walks by, walk them to items they can't find. Then the store gets busy while they are going to the back corner of the store to show someone to the milk and management complains because of dips. Then they stop taking customers to items so they can do their jobs, and management complains that we aren't properly assisting customers.
