So I've heard about the new eschedules on here an in my store and how we will be schedule Sat to Sat instead of Sun to Sun.
What I'm wondering about is when we will get our schedule for the next week then?
As a CC with somewhat open hours, I don't get the same shift each week and already getting the schedule on Fridays is rather nerve wracking at times because I need to be able to pre-plan around my other job and school events.

Thanks for your help.
Your problem is working for Kroger. Planning for the week is nearly impossible due to the fact that they put their schedules out the way that they do. "pre-plan around my other job and school events"
Sat to Sat is a lot better in my opinion. You can actually see if you have a weekend off instead of saying "Hmmm I have Saturday but I don't know about Sunday so gotta stay home."
I heard that the schedules are actually staying the same, but it's just showing the 8th day on there so that the department heads don't mess up when they make the schedule and say for example, schedule someone to be there until 9 Saturday night and then have them be back in at 4am on Sunday morning. i don't know if that's true for sure though.

Good luck. This was the back-breaker for me when my manager told me she wouldn't plan around my other job. Welp.

Back breaker or deal breaker?
Both, really. It was the last straw that broke the camel's back.

Yep, same with me when I took a better job with better pay, better hours and three-week out schedule. Kroger hates it that you have to work somewhere else. Maybe if they paid an actual living wage that you could live on, they'd be able to keep you there more often.
My schedule writer and comanager are semi-decent people. They know I work hard and I'm typically steller with customers so they work with me with my college job which is an internship like experience for my degree field. I was just worried that we wouldn't see the schedule until the day before it's posted making it rough to flip schedules with someone if something at my internship comes up sudden.
At this point, I'm a pro at figuring out how to make it work with 2 jobs that don't like to give enough warning. It's so going onto my resume and such when I go into my professional field.
hi i just got hired at Kroger did my orientation and computer training on Monday and just waiting on them to call to put me on the schedule just wanted to know how long to call you for your schedule i will be a courtesy clerk

Our contract says the schedule must be posted by Fri noon, I imagine that remains in effect.
and what happens if it isn't? My dept schedule is NEVER posted by noon. usually it'll show up at the end of the groc. manager's shift on Friday.
As for this Saturday to Saturday crap. So the schedule that came out yesterday would typically show Sept. 20-26 (sun-sat), but now it will show the 19th-26th?(sat-sat) Is that right? So is it basically just showing the last day of the previous week again on the schedule? I don't see why that matters except in the case of hours between shifts...in my contract, I think it's 10 hours between shifts. They'd always get around that on the end of one week to the beginning of the next (sat. into sunday). So many times, people will be scheduled to work til midnight saturday then return at 6 or 7am sunday. Maybe this new way of showing the schedule will prevent this?

It might be to make payroll easier for people that work nights. Who knows? Maybe it is easier for Escedule to find errors and set flags when the shifts are too close together. Maybe the programmer was in trouble for not being innovative so this was the solution.
My Previous schedule would have the first day of the week on last weeks schedule. I would come in at 9pm Saturday night even tho the payweek really begins at 12:01am Sunday morning.
