Smile and be courteous.  :)

Don't get stressed.  Try to learn things fast.  Try to figure out who will teach you well.

It isn't rocket science.  You will be fine.

Be prepared for the worst and the best.
Be ready to jump back into bagging immediately after bringing carts in from the parking lot.
Covered in sweat? Exhausted? Dehydrated? Tired? Dirty?

phuck you, Kroger does not care.
I have heard rumors that in California there is a mandatory break for those CCs who come off of 'lot duty.
It's like five minutes, or fifteen, or something like that, so it's short, but the result is you can change a sweat-stained shirt, or get something to drink, or relax and regather your strength and energy, or whatever.

Here in Georgia? Nah. Meh. Screw you. So what if you smell like you just ran a 5k and you've got some unidentifiable liquid on you from when you were taking trash out of carts because some douchebag couldn't be bothered. What does it matter if you feel like you just lifted weights and may be breathing heavily? Get your ass back to bagging! Front End is tired of calling up produce and floral to be where you should!

/kroger sucks

Georgia, huh? I don't know how you guys can deal with the humidity. I'll take Arizona's hot and bipolar weather than humidity. At least it's a dry heat.

Be prepared for the best of what, exactly?

@OP Just be nice to people and generally everything will be fine. I would say refrain from any gossiping but you've found this site.

Yes. Look elsewhere. Target and Wal-Mart both start at $9. Wal-mart goes to $10 next year. Both are more flexible with scheduling and neither threaten to cut off your nutsack if you miss a 'hello' to some ugly toothless customer rocketing by.

Don't work at Kroger. Just don't. Save yourself the agony while you still can.
