Courtesy Clerk Training - Times?

Hi everybody,

I'm supposed to go in for training tomorrow but don't know at what time. Both of my managers are gone for today. I called the help desk, got transferred several times, and then got hung up on.

I know that the training time varies for each situation, and you all probably won't be able to tell me when I need to go in. However, would any of be able to tell me how long training lasted for you as a courtesy clerk position? Was it just one hour, several hours, etc? Thank you in advance.

There is usually one training center per district, our divisions range in start times from 8A-11A. A Courtesy clerk should be just one day of "training" which includes computer powerpoint like slides for several hours, and maybe a store walkthrough at the training center. I don't know if there is anything else involved.

It usually takes around 8 hours. You watch powerpoints, introduce yourself, do computer stuff, and then they might have you practice bagging and stuff.

Good luck! I've been working as a CC for a month now.

Welcome to Kroger, where you're an employee calling the store asking for vital info and you get transferred to someone else who just decides to hang up on you... and then your manager gets upset with you for not knowing when to come in.

Lol... but seriously, I hope everything ended up OK for you.
