Transferring Stores
Permalink

I recently transferred stores for a new position and I don't feel like it's going to work out. I will give it more time, but I may eventually want to transfer back to my old store. I vaguely remember hearing that you have to wait six months to transfer. Does anyone know if that is just applies to new-hires or if it applies to my situation. Thanks!

I transferred from 3 stores in a 6 month period. I went to another store and stayed for 3 months and didn't like it. I didn't like the other store either, so i transferred back to my orginal store.

What state are you in?

Are you full time?

Did you transfer because you signed a bid and won?

In Mi, if a person signs a bid and gets the job, they can change their mind within 30 days and return to their previous store if there is an opening.  If your previous position was filled, the store can try to find another spot for you.  The person that wins a bid and is on 6 month probation.  If they don't work out (for a manager position), they get bumped back down to a regular clerk wherever they can find a spot in the store.

Thanks, that's good to know! I hope you're happy in your current situation. Well, as happy as one can be in this company anyway.
