Without knowing the full story you should withhold judgement. OP said "about" a month. They also could have scheduled him 0 hours first week,, 5 the next week, etc. Kroger isn't known for training, explaining things, etc. OP may have very well asked someone at the store and got several different answers. We are dealing with Kroger, remember that.
