There's three stores in my area that are so desperate for employees they're offering a $1000 bonus to anyone who transfers and stays at least a year: $200 after 30 days, $400 after 6 months, $400 after 12 months. Of course they don't say how they're going to replace the employees that leave their current stores. They're just robbing Peter to pay Paul.
I am not the original poster, but evidently a bunch of notices/brochures were sent out to prospective employees from surrounding area stores (mailed out via USPS.....Kroger spent lots of postage $$ for this). I think the stores in question are in Kentucky.
Now, if the Kroger hierarchy could just get it through their thick skulls that HIGHER WAGES ACROSS the board, and easier-to-achieve and consistent FULL TIME status for anyone who wants, needs, and is willing to work full time hours is offered, they would soon get all the employees they need and they would be more willing to stay and be loyal to Kroger. But, NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Kroger won't do the logical thing. GGRRR.
