Schedules now 2 weeks in advance instead of one...

Instead of getting our schedule every Friday for the next following week... We now get our next week schedules, AND the week after...

Does this mean we'll get the schedule after that this next Friday? Next week? Or 2 weeks from now, we'll get our next 2 weeks schedule...?

And, but more importantly, are we NOW going to be paid every OTHER week, or still every week... (At 'Wally World', we got our schedules for every 2 weeks, but we got paid every other week aswell. I'm hoping it isn't the case here as I enjoy getting my paycheck every week...)

You'll still get a paycheck every week.  Schedules will still come out on Friday but the new schedule won't be for the week that's coming.  It'll be for the following week.  That means they'll have to have at least two schedules posted at all times:  one for the current week and one for the week coming up.  Between Friday and Sunday they'll have to have three schedules posted: one for the current week, one for the week coming up, and the new schedule for two weeks later.

Hm, sounds OK to me. At my store they would take the old ones down on Thursday evening and you'd have to go find the "current week" schedule somewhere in the breakroom or managers office.

This means we'll have to schedule days off farther in advance though won't it...

i haven't heard of this happening here yet.

Yeah. they said they did it so employees would have more time to plan things outside of Kroger.  I don't wait to see what day I'm going to be off and then plan to do something that day.  I plan my activities first and then have my work schedule adjusted accordingly.  One thing I do plan on doing is after the vacation schedule gets approved, I'm going to put in all my vacations and most of my personal days for the entire year on E-Schedule.  That way I won't miss any.

 Very good idea!

Seems crappy to me. Don't see how it makes it easier to plan, but rather the opposite. We already have to schedule days off too early in advance. Most of my plans are not that far away or last minute so I generally find it annoying. Plus the website needs a serious update.

Good for me personally, I schedule my events and appointments a few weeks in advance anyways, and our FE manager has been very open to us switching shifts in case an emergency comes up. Less good for all the college kids who don't necessarily know when their exams and such will be two weeks in advance, and less good for the schedule maker who gets to put up with even more gripes and in-person requests now.
