i shouldve been trained in the office by now seeing how my main supervisor CSM came to me before Christmas saying he wanted me in there and he ain't done it yet. I'm getting tired of waiting for him to come to me. how should I approach him without pissing him off and getting my point across?
I don't get why anyone would want to work in the office and have to deal with things like returns and complaints and impatient people waiting in line to make a return or a complaint.
I used to work back up in the office. Honestly it's not worth it. Unless you're hungry for some sort of power, it's really a pain keeping track of an entire front end of high schoolers who don't care about their jobs. I did like helping customers with different problems and it's a nice change of pace from the cash register, but it's also very stressful having every little decision you make criticized by other employees, managers and customers. All while not getting paid any more than the other cashiers you're "supervising."
My advice is stick to cashier or another department and go to school to get out of that place. Seriously. I was able to find a new job and think back on all the times I helped in the office, worked midnights, etc. all while going to school and how stressed I was. It was not worth it.
