So I'm over in the ATL division, and tonight we're expected to get freezing rain starting at 1 a.m. or so in my area with the temperature not hitting above freezing till 8 a.m.
Which means if it freezes badly to the roads then I probably won't be able to get my truck out of the driveway. Considering I'm scheduled to replace my breaks and tires in the next week due to their condition. I'm scared to drive if it so much as suggests a flurry.
My problem is that I'm opening fuel in the morning, and if I can't get in I'm not sure how I'm going to call in to tell them considering the two hour rule would have me calling at 3:45 in the morning on the monday after a holiday. I'd sooner get into trouble for NC/NS than drive in dangerous conditions, but I'd at least like to try and keep out of trouble. I just don't know if I should call in tonight before closing, and then look stupid when its not as bad as they're predicting.
Anyone have any advice/experience in this situation.
Call tonight and tell them you may not be able to make it in the morning. Tell them if the roads are not bad you will call back in the morning and see if you need to come in or if they have found a replacement.
