That is actually on hold for the time being. Some skirmish between corporate and SEC. Nobody nis saying what's happening, but it doesn't look good. At all.

KR stock is currently rising.
To the OP- If you really want to buy into KR, you can always do so through your broker. It's publicly traded, you don't HAVE to buy it through the company.
