Yesterday i hade to call in because my brother was in an accident and i was the only one who could go pick him up (he was right out side of the Mississippi border at the time and i live in Texas) I called in at least 5 hours before my shift.

Today I'm not feeling well... I'm running a fever and have been feeling nauseous but if i call in they're gunna ask for a doctors note and my doctors office isn't open today.  I'm affraid they'll try and fire me for calling in 2 days in row.  I'm not on my probationary time anymore. (Been there for nearly a year)

What should I do?

Worst that can happen is they write you up for "excessive absences". Just don't sign it, okay!

If they knew the reason why you called in yesterday they shouldn't ask for a doctor's note if you were only sick for one day.
