18 year old High school student (Senior year) was working at Kroger's, hard working, covering for other people's shifts Working 29 hours a week and going to school. Recently went out of town for Spring Break told the front end manager and was given the ok. My day off I called to see if could leave early the next day because of something that HAD to be done for school. The manager yelled and screamed saying there had been too many call outs (mind you never called out before). Today I was fired.
She lied and said I had called out 1week and a day, my question is how can you call out when you are not scheduled? Plus they called me during my time off to come in to cover for someone who called out and I said I couldn't because I was out of town.
Speak to your union rep/shop steward. Call your union hall in the morning if you can't get ahold of the shop steward at the store.
I hope you didn't sign anything. Never go into an office with a manager without a witness(union rep). I know at this point hindsight is 20/20.
I am lost in your story. Sounds like the fem said you could have spring break off but now says you called in for the week and a day. But, you were not even on the schedule.
Do you have a copy of the schedule?
I want you to get your job back if they went about terminating you wrongly. Sometimes the union is able to reverse something like this if the manager went about it the wrong way. School is your primary focus. There are other menial jobs to be had.
Does she have big titties? Is she young and hot? Is she a peter puffer? Does she swim the brown canal on Greek Week? Can she suck a golf ball through a garden hose?
If the answer is YES for 1--3 of those, grovel on your knees and suck the cheese lint from between her toes to get your job back, just to be her fuk buddy.
3--5 yeses? Eat the dorito corn flakes from her pooter pie!
Could be you sucked. No. Really. It could simply be that you just....sucked at your assigned tasks, and they didn't like that, and it ended up where they didn't like you, and now you're out of a job. Maybe you learn from this; time will tell. But.......................
What's prolly gonna happen instead is, you'll continue being a card carrying member of this brave new Working Class who absolutely is not responsible for anything. They never do anything wrong, nothing's ever their fault, NO WAY they're gonna take that hit, get outa my face, get off my case, y'all don't pay me enough for this, that's it, I quit.
