In june 2014 i applied for grocey clerk at a job fair, the interviewer informed me that there were no more open spots for grocery clerk so i settled for courtesy clerk(worst decision ever). Ive been asking EVERY manager and supervisor to move me for 2 yrs now and its been nothing but lies and procrastination. What should I do? I feel like its been PLENTY of spots that opened up during 2 years like cmon now..

They are trying to tell you to apply somewhere else. No joke, move on with your career. If it is not your career, also move on.

Here are your choices (based on my experiences both on the receiving and giving ends):

A) Transfer to another store and start fresh

B) Wait for your store manager to transfer

C) (best option) Find another job, preferably out of retail, and get the hell out of that sh!t hole full of liars.

Apply internally through the computer system for the jobs. It could be something as simple as HR being too stupid to listen to in person requests
