Back in March, I finally had an interview at the Jackman/Laskey location in Toledo. My father applied for a job with a railroad exactly four years ago. He was not hired until 5/22/2012. He did not hear from corporate until then. It only took a few months to get hired (still too long). I have not heard from this sorry a** company yet. So, is no news actually good news?
I did get one e-mail on 3/29/2016 from corporate. According to them, I am being considered for another position. Since I have NO WORK EXPERIENCE, I would be a bagger/cart pusher (I can handle that).
I was lucky that the folks at the Jackman/Laskey location in Toledo were so nice (including the hiring manager). I actually believe most of what I have read so far on this forum. I have respect for Kroger, only because it is my "go to store" for groceries and personal items. I have only shopped at the Secor/Monroe and Jackman/Laskey stores. I am sure that is not enough to form a good enough opinion about the company. I know most stores have very nasty people in charge of them (considering that Kroger focuses on the Bible-thrashing, God-fearing South and Midwestern US). What are your thoughts?
