Not all laundry soap boxes are able to be broken down.
When I run 40 cases of Gatorade, I am not going to break down all 40 flats. I stack them into each other and then throw the stack into the bailer. That saves 10 minutes for something else I need to do.
I have seen people fill their carts with flats, finish the aisle and then stand in front of the bailer breaking the corners on the flats. WTF!? Throw it in the bailer and it will crush them for you...........

So you are saying it takes 15 seconds to breakdown a flat. God you must be slow.
It only takes about 3 seconds max to break them down. That would only be 2 minutes to break down 40 flats. You probably spend more time than that trying to fit them together. But a guru like you would never admit he was wrong.
That's why make a good manager? I get a lot of **** done fast and neatly.
What are the other parts of the process?
Spot everything and put the pallet away? Then, get a shopping cart, run stock, break down flats and then roll cart back to the bailer? I don't do all these steps.
Nice way to flatten heavy boxes: Cut a corner to corner "X" across the bottom, open it up, and flatten. This from a coworker whose former employer required all boxes to be flattened, to reduce time spent at the baler.
