There was a huge load last night and we run on a skeleton crew. I was trying to go at a fast and steady pace but I hurt my shoulder and now it hurts whenever I lift my arm. I called out a couple days now and when I got back to work, I couldn't go at the same pace as before. My arm still hurts and it hasn't improved much. I don't want to go to the hospital as that would **** me over with the poor/cheapest health insurance that I got. What do you guys think I should do?
Immediately report the incident to the director and you get treated for free under workers comp laws and you still get paid under workers comp law and Kroger cant retaliate because thats illegal under Federal law.
Ive had that happen to a few parts of my body. Just take a pain killer and move on. It will take awhike to heal but it is better then going threw the bs and getting screwed and let go later. Thats retail.

Damn right. Try some icy hot topical cream, or something comparable. Aleve gel caps are very good.
Don't listen to these people about "just move on", "take a aspirin" .... report the incident and request to see a doctor via workmans comp...THIS IS YOUR RIGHT.... don't listen to the others. Look out for yourself because no-one else will.
Always report any injury or incident to your supervisor in writing and always keep a copy for yourself. The first question workman's comp is going to ask you is why you did not report it right away. If you have any witness's have them either write a letter or sign your letter. I would think Kroger's has an incident report form. If nothing else get a hold or your union rep and have them help you.
