Ok my wife on vacation with my son and my daughter has band camp and she has autism and cannot be left alone I got no one to watch her after 9 pm told the manager the same thing and she told me my persanal life is not her problem what should I do I cannot leave her home alone after nine she said the needs of the store before anything else.and they got me working 4 to mid I cannot leave my daughter alone that long

Your family comes before Kroger. Try harder to work it out. I have seen people have their kids in the break room but not sure if they allow that at your store.
Your manager is a fool, like all Kroger managers. Your children come first, you should have no trouble getting an intermittent leave of absence for taking care of an autistic child. This is FMLA job protected leave that would only kick in when you need to watch your child. Metlife manages FMLA and other leave and disability claims for Kroger, managers have no training on the obligations they have under FMLA. You also might have rights to a different set of hours under the union contract, the Union reps I have run into do a terrible job of advising people of the rights they have particularly when it is not standard to how they administer the contract.
