Anyone work at Kroger in Detroit? I would love to go there. Would love to visit American Jewelry and Loan. I feel sorry that Detroit filed bankrupt. I see from going around on Google Earth that Detroit still has old red light's or should I say traffic light's. I just love those old traffic light's. Where I live there is only one light it only flashes intersection of US Hwy and a county road. I often wonder how many times it flashes before someone passes because it's a lonely road. I am being serious now all my playing I do just want attention. I don't get too much because I live so far in the boonies I am lucky to even get high speed internet thru fiber optic. One day I may visit Detroit MI. Actually I have been there when I went to Canada a long time ago also a cousin of mine lived in Kalamazoo MI but moved back to Georgia.

So, be careful if you ever do visit Detroit. Eminen made the road 8 mile famous. 8 mile is north of Detroit and the further north you go from Detroit, the higher the mile road numbers get. There is a general rule of thumb. Never go below each mile road corresponding to the time of night. A caucasion should not be near 6 mile road at 6pm. The neighborhoods are rough and easy to get lost in. One joke is that police avoid inner city Detroit after dark and let the thugs solve their own crimes. 12 mile and above are generally safe.
Tv only shows the good side of the pawn shop. You might be shocked if you ever go in person.
I don't think Detroit has any real grocery stores due to major theft. If anything, there are party stores(convenience stores) mostly selling liquor. Just checked Kroger.com and all the stores are in the cities outside of Detroit.
Kroger does have many stores in Michigan Northwest of Detroit.

Well according to google earth there are several Kroger stores. But none right down town. The closet to downtown is Dearborn. If I ever went back it would not be to move. I would not like it there because of so much snow and ice in the winter. I haven't even watched the Hardcore Pawn in awhile I think they took it off TV.
