Every day i wake up i dread going to this job im tired of working nights and they won't move me when i ask. Im sick of these lazy people that over order and wonder why theres so much backstock because they keep over ordering ****. Im tired of the unfair treatment i litterally stopped answering my phone they call me like 5x+ times im just done they blow up my phone with text.  BUT WHEN ITS THERE DAY OFF I DON'T CALL OR BLOW UP THERE PHONE. They think i don't do anything so they just over look me but today i might just go in and be like i quit. I know for a fact im tired of cleaning up after these grown ass ****ers who don't even have decency to pick up there ****ing ****. im tired of organizing the room before i leave im sick of doing bails.

I need some advice i can't quit the job because i haven't foudn another job to work at but im so sick of this company and some of its people.

Hey my every day is pretty much the same...

I'm working in a department that is so understaffed that we've had gaps in the schedule. Gaps that are never supposed to happen in a service department. Service departments are "supposed" to have at least one person scheduled all day but it was impossible to do with the amount of people unless everyone worked 7 days a week.

But then we still get bitched out for our tables not being set by 9am. Our baker is also being cake decorator which means the next person is putting out the bread. This doesn't give enough time to put out the other prepackaged things by 9am when the second person isn't there till 8 or later!!

On top of that our elms hours have dropped due to lesser amount of sales... Well yes when you have no product out to sell of course sales will be down. Shorting us on hours will just continue the downward spiral but try telling that to management. During my dept. head training the lady taught us all about how fantastic of a program elms was. I call BS.

Just block their number on your days off. Worst case scenario: they get pissed and make your shift hell for its duration.

Now to what a typical day is like for me:

1. Start at 9:00 pm. Check to see what loads came in
2. Check invoices to make sure all ordered product is there and correct items as well
3. Put like items on pallet because they are NEVER organized. EVER.
4. Pull date and rotate all items that are out of date. (Expired product off shelf, new product towards back, older product towards front
5. Remove go backs from wrong places. Put in cart. (Take notice of certain items that find their way back to the SAME DAMN PLACE each and EVERY TIME!)
6. Continue throwing load.
6. Throw lazy ass co-workers load as well.
7. Order product that needs to be ordered but wasn't.

All this usually on a skeleton crew of 3-4 people for the night.

I work nights and the rest sounds like a normal shift.  Except,  I love changing the baler.

I think the mothership was designed to function like this.

Every store and many employees face the same issues you just described.

Some of the ordering is difficult to control.  We don't know it is coming until after the truck is delivered. Someone else is forcing it into our store.  Some of the forecasting programming is crazy.

Every store has lazy slobs.  Go in, do your job, leave.  Do not cause drama, do not argue.  Do not clean up after others unless you are specifically asked to by a manager or back up.

I like OT and have volunteered for several stretches of 30+ days in a row.  I have been scheduled many times 10 days in a row as you described.

Don't get stressed by your job.

Good luck.

I hate it they let some other people take days off( hate favoritism) and these people piss me off. They think i don't do **** when i see most these guys stealing time and **** and claim they work 60-70 hr work weeks but they need there damn days off. I bust my ass everyday and clean up after this same employee then they have the nerve to let him take days off apparently he worked a **** ton hrs.I worked close to 50 but i been working like 10 days straight then they have the nerve to call out. they think i don't do anything i clean up after the same person everyday i get tired of picking up cardboard boxes cause the other person can't put them in a buggy like the rest of us. im only 23 i been working here for almost a year now im sick of the **** i put up with and they just let it slide or suck up to management. This one person i work with order 800 pieces its just two of us. I get so pissed off i kick a dent in the bathroom door( i work in a freezer) i tell the jack ass not to order over ****ing 400 or atleast pre plan it out took 2 days to put up and im still pissed and sick of the over ordering

Yeah, we had a co manager order thru ISO the day before Christmas a few years ago.  Grocery and kmp.  I think they ordered 3000 cases extra that week.  It took until the next summer to get rid of all the crap even thru deep discounting.  I heard about it while I was at another store.
