I work as a courtesy clerk. Meaning I am forced to deal with everyone's crap or leave. Whatever. But when I recieved my paycheck I found out they gave me an extra one on top of my regular one. this new one was ALOT more than my normal pay I recieve. And no, it isn't retro pay, a raise, or bonus, or a forgotten check. I haven't even taken vacation yet so I know it's not a vacation check. Well, I cashed it out without saying anything. Hell if I'm gonna say a damned thing.
If I keep quiet will they still find out? Because I am NOT saying a word. My family said keep it and not say a word to anybody at your store.
In my opinion i DESERVE the extra pay because of all the crap I have to do. The way I see it, they can afford it. Why should I have to suffer for THEIR error?
Maybe it was one of those shared success checks. What was it listed as in the pay category? I mean like where it says retro pay, sunday pay, holiday pay, etc.
Either that or one of your paychecks will be significantly smaller.
But the vacation? The paid vacation will go "missing" to make up for the extra pay. You'll still be able to go as scheduled, but it will be for "free."
