I work in the nashville division of Kroger. I started working in july at 7.70, which was .25 above starting pay because of experience credit. The union pay raise raised starting pay to 8.00 shouldn't I be making above the new starting pay? I make 8.00 which should be 8.25 if i still make 25 cents more than starting pay.

Ask whoever hired you.

Ask your shop steward first.

Update: I reviewed the contract and step 3 of the old payscale goes to step 1 on the new contract.

No you should not. If you where below what the union starting rate you might only get the raise or you might get bumped to the new base pay.
