Union (UFCW Local 1996)

I joined a union during orientation and I am 17 years old. I want to know how to get out of a union to stop paying those union dues. I am trying to call my Union rep but he hasn't been available. I work in Kroger Atlanta Division 697 in Savannah, GA. They take $7.30 out of my paycheck every week and I rarely have problems with Kroger's as I am such a quiet person there. Does anyone have any advice or solutions?

You have to be in the union. Their is no opting out. I have never used my Union for anything but they are protection. They get me my raises, personals, paid vacation, and security.
