I'm curious about how many days of did everyone typically get when they first started working at their particular branch of Kroger?
I ask cause I think I'm either losing days because I'm coming up on my second month of 60 days of probation and instead of having the usual 3 days a week off that they initially was giving me. As I'll start next week off with just 2 days off( Monday and Friday). Which I guess isn't so bad as the work days in between I'm off earlier anyway so I don't mind it really.
Or, I'm wondering am I losing some days off because(as I've recently heard about and been asked to help out with) a new branch of the store is also being built like a few counties away from where I live? As they are seriously behind on their construction and clean up. So it's somewhat on our branch's shoulders to lend folks out to them over the course of the next few weeks til they open, to help them clean up. As our back up has come around asking everyone's availability and penciling folks in to do the clean up on our days off.
Which again, I don't mind working a day or so here or there for clean up(although they are opting to take to use one of my days off for it). But dude, I'll be honest and say that I'm still kind of new to the whole working in a store situation(used to being a part-time secretary for the school system), and til I get more accustomed to it. I seriously value my days off so I can rest my feet(which don't kill me as badly as when I first started. Thank you Dr. Scholl's!!!) and well rest in general from hefting boxes and so forth.
So yea, I was just curious if it was an eventual standard thing for the part-timers to drop down from 3 days off to 2 once they are coming up to getting out of the probationary time frame or not.
