I just recently joined the local union 540 when they alerted me about being screwed over out of pay for almost a year (Kroger owes me some retro pay checks, lol), and just discovered that the union also gives lots of discounts and coupons to their members. However, upon checking out the union's web site, I cannot access any information about these discounts. Does anybody know what kind they are or where they might be found somewhere else?

 

And does anyone know where I can find a full union member handbook or whatever that I can look at? I would like to have easy access to these kinds of things, especially what my pay scale is and how much it should go up every few months or whatever so I won't get screwed over again.

And would I still be getting paid the same without the union? Or does this pay scale of increases every six months or so only apply to union members?

 

 

ps I should also say that I am already a bit upset with this union. The next freaking day after signing up I was paying union dues. Two weeks later, however, I am still underpaid and patiently waiting for the union to get my pay up to where it should be, along with my reto pay check.
