Those people are some of the RUDEST customers in my store.

Some of the nastiest, as well. I swear, some of the reusable bags that people bring smell like something died and decayed in them.

I should say some of the dumbest, also, considering how these people sometimes come up with a full shopping cart of groceries... piled on top of their bags, and so before even one item can be bagged, you have to wait and wait and wait for them to get to their bags.

I often wonder just how environmentally-conscious these high and mighty people are in other aspects of life, too.

The sheer arrogance of customers is what partly contributed to me leaving the front end. I've never looked back.

You'll get the customers that have a full overflowing cart, and have 1-2 reusable bags that smell like a yeti's a$$.
And they don't want extra bags.

Massive carts full of different types of items, only 5 bags, and no extra bags. But we still have to follow the rules of no meat with soap, no raw with cooked, no this with that. Fill them full!! How the hell are we supposed to do that? Seriously!!

as a grocery clerk, if I've been called to bag and I see someone has those bags, I'll hurry and jump to another lane (one that "was further backed up") I refuse to put groceries in those damn things.  They're poorly made, won't stay open, and are just generally a pain in the ass.  There's a regular bagger who likes to screw those of us who get called up, he basically does what I do.

Silly customers will bring 3 of those bags and expect you to get an entire cartload into the 3 bags!  Those customers seem to have both the heaviest and lightest items.  3 bags to bag:  2 loaves of bread, 2 bags of chips, 4 two-liter sodas, a pie, and a watermelon...oh and a bottle of bleach.  That sound about right?

I'm trying to leave the front end too.
