Overnight Floor Crew
Permalink

When I was working for the big K our floor cleaner would come in and clean the floors usually between 9 and 10 p.m.  Well since my current job is close to my old store I do my grocery shopping there.  I tend to do my shopping around 6 or 7 in the evening and I've noticed that the floor guy is there at this time while the store is still kind of busy. What time do they come in at your stores?

P.S.  The current floor person is also the store managers son.

our floor guy is a middle aged russian guy who can barely speak english. he comes in at around 11:30pm and starts sweeping the floors and picking up debris. then he runs the floor scrubber for most of the night and buffs the floors before he leaves at around 7:30am.

WHAT overnight floor crew????????????????????  Oh, you mean the one lonely guy at our HUGE store who is supposed to take care of the job in about 6 hours, a job that, if done properly, would take 6 workers all working an entire 8-hour shift?????????!!!!!!

Which means our store is increasingly dirty.............., trash and filth under the shelves, stains, half-dried spills, black "tire marks", etc.  Now we are getting a mouse problem.  No  wonder......they have plenty of pieces of chips, crackers, dropped nuts, pieces of fruit, etc to partake of.

Kroger's horrible stinginess in allotting adequate hours for overnight cleaning is APPALLING at our store! Shame on you, Kroger!!!!!!!!!!!!!
