Refresh Group coming for a store visit
Permalink

So just learned a bit ago before I got off shift that we are supposed to have some refresh group of people come in. I guess they must be as important as the Corporate peeps, as I had heard that even with it being as full as it should be. One of my back up managers told one of the bakers that she wanted it even more full. Regardless of what our shrink was going to look like.

So my question is, what is the purpose of these refresh people? Are they to tell us we aren't doing things right? How to get better with shrink? Or just another bunch of folks in suits saying something to the affect of "You keep this store super stocked, and I'll be sure to get another bonus by Christmas". Or worse yet, are they assigned to come in if you get so many zeroes because your store isn't responding promptly enough to the Top of the Hour announcements? As I know my back up manager has asked me specifically a few times to go out and refresh the floor while I was doing something else. Cause other wise we would get a zero if we didn't do it.

But honestly, I don't see how we can always respond to that particular page. I know for me especially, doing a lot of nights of closing by myself. Heck, I'm lucky to even be able to slice the bread on time and get the doughnut case taken care of at night. In between all the customers that want cake orders and writing etc.  on their stuff and packaging and labeling, and cleaning up the dept. I barely have time enough to REFRESH me half the time. Let alone the sales floor.
