i work at a Krogers in wv were all managers and department heads are cowards that don't do a damn thing to the lazy call off people but us hard working never call off people are called lazy told they will be fired all the time
I am at kroger in WV and they fire the call ins all the time
If only that would trickle down to Ohio where I am. I think the only time I've heard of someone getting fired for calling off too much was a teenager that worked in Deli. But for other folks that have been there longer that call off like freaking every few weeks, hardly get told anything about it.
Also at a Kroger in WV and this is a huge problem at the store I'm at. We have people that call off at least once a week in several different departments. There are people that are 15 minutes or more late every shift they work. Then we have the people who don't call and don't show for their shifts. They are never disciplined, nothing is even said to them. In the past few years I've been there, I've just seen the problem grow. These people will continue to do as they please if management doesn't do anything.
