I just started as a cashier and I'm not sure if I'm processing bottle slips correctly when the customer just wants to cash them. I scan the bottle return slip(s) -> press total-> a negative amount shows up ex. [-3.30]-> type in 330-> press cash-> drawer opens and I give the customer the cash. Am I doing this correctly?
I was told to do: 1 , then, Sign on-off and then scan the slip (or if it's not scannable, type the amount, and press Misc, and then insert the document into the printer.).
If they are purchasing something, then you can just treat it as a regular transaction.
