At every job I have ever worked at Sunday was always a nightmare at most of them. I have seen a lot of things from fights, people getting run over , fender benders and various acts of uncleanliness and lack of consideration.
This last week as I was leaving to go home I was in the break room talking to one of the grocery clerks and to a courtesy clerk. Much to my dismay they had pictures they had to take for records because in the dairy case right below the milk rack, someone had used the bathroom in there there was crap in the cooler. From the side it was on it was of course speculated that it was from a customer, I am still sickened and baffled by it all.
This incident makes the incident where a man exposed himself to a 12 yr old girl in the store (he was caught) look like nothing.
I am beyond words for this incident because it goes beyond being happy with the store or being lazy or anything else, this is just flat out vandalism.
Kroger has restrooms not bathrooms. Bathroom is where you take a bath. Oh and someone should look on the camera and see who it was just in case it could have been an employee.

One of my managers, in a casual discussion about bizarre experiences we both had working at our respective positions, he found a log of feces in the front checkout area at his old store. He said it was definitely human feces, it is a mystery to this day of how it got there.
I find this very funny. Not the part about the 12 year old. Bathroom is incorrect. Use the restroom not Bathroom. Kroger has restrooms not Bathroom. Bathroom is where you take a bath.
NOTHING is funny about this at all. The world is a terrible place. Sundays are increasingly bad at stores or all types. Call me old-fashioned if you want, but many years ago nearly all stores were closed on Sundays and most (most, not all) people were relaxing at home, or going to church, eating their Sunday dinner, visiting, sleeping late, watching TV or whatever. Now they go to the store and shop and wreak havoc on us hapless employees that have to be there to serve their needs.
Anyway..............
I) Just a note that I will assume the accident happened because a customer (drunk or stoned, late Saturday night/early Sun morning) was so 'out of it' he or she thought the door to the cooler was a restroom door. yes, Stuff like that happens to severely drunk people.
2) In defense of the poster who used the term 'bathroom' instead of restroom................... I have a habit of calling restrooms "bathrooms" just because I often use the same terminology I do at home...........'bathroom' is the place where you go to take a leak or a dump. (No, I don't exactly "rest" in the restroom. I do that in the breakroom.)

Well it's not really funny just stupid. I was told once at local store owner someone asked him to use the restroom. The owner said it was not a public restroom. The person begged and said he really had to go. So the owner was nice enough to let him use his restroom. Guess what? The man pissed all over the walls and floors. This store was local owned in a mall not a chain so the owner did not have to have a restroom because the mall had a public restroom. I was told the owner and some other employees help the man their and called the police. I think the police made the man clean it or he would spend the night in jail.

Most of Kroger's cameras are dummy camera's. If they actually worked then Kroger wouldn't need people to take pictures, for proof, in order to get someone fired.

Trust me the camera's in my store are real. I never heard of Kroger having dummy camera's. It is a DVR system upstairs in the manager's office maybe it depends on the size of the store.

I was told this about the cameras by the main store manager. I asked them to look at the cameras and they would see who is and who isn't doing their jobs. They would see the mess I walk into and is left for me to clean. They would see the truth about who is in their departments and who is no where to be around. They said "Those cameras don't work. So you would need to take pictures in order to prove it."

And I'll bet that incident ensured the end of that store owner ever helping out a desperate person again.
It just takes that one ******* to ruin it for everyone.
Not implying he was obligated to have anyone use his toilet regardless, just sayin.
Getting back to the DocJ's post, the culprit probably shat into a bag, or picked up their dog's sh#t, smuggled it into the store and threw it in the cooler.
I really doubt nobody would notice someone squatting above the cooler with their ass out.
Our cameras are only accessible in the security office by loss prevention and management. And they are all real. No duds, no fakes, all up on three screens. That being said, to have someone do that! I would hope they don't show their faces around the store for a longggggg time.

However it happened, I hope you find the scumbag.
I'm of the mind that someone smuggled in some **** as well. And truly hope they catch this person. This is not only disgusting but very and highly dangerous. Most especially as you don't know where else in the store he might put something of this nature again. And all it would take is the wrong little kid to pick up something that had fecal matter on it and put their hand in their mouth...Just saying, this person totally needs to be on a watch list, whoever it is.
