You didn't give the choice of "It's managements fault because they just don't care anymore and continue to keep people who are not doing their jobs" Don't know if Kroger i in financial trouble or not, but if they are that is the reason. They are losing business because employees are not made to do their jobs and do it right.

Not sure about their finances, but our shrink has been up again. So they yanked the roll bin(a buck a roll I think it was) and like two of the other kind of baguettes we sale. And thus far folks have been ticked off that we don't have them any longer. So I'm sure after a while they will be looking to get rolls of that variety elsewhere and Kroger will be behind the eight ball on that one again.

Like the article says...

..."Kroger continues to hold the title of the world's largest supermarket chain in terms of annual revenue..."

Safeway, Wal-Mart and Aldi may be inching up there, but Kroger is still on top!

When you're on top, you can do no wrong.  But once they lose their top position, it doesn't matter what they do, they will be beaten and bought out by someone bigger.  Look at what they are doing now, look at the debt they owe vs their profits.  Look at their investments they make vs how much their profit increases.

this company is dying and no one notices or cares.  Workers are too busy working and execs are too busy stroking their own egos.
