I've seen a couple of the new cashiers doing this when they're buying their stuff. Now, I'm just using my own common sense, but isn't that not allowed?
Personally, I've never done it, I always wait for the attendant to clear me out. But then again, that never happens as I always follow the machine's directions so it doesn't trigger a security check. Unless I have a coupon, then I wait for the attendant.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's not allowed at all. It'd be like operating a register and checking yourself out. Loss prevention should also be able to check if they have ever used their operator ID on a transaction where their plus card was entered.
Yea, out by me in WI, that's grounds for being immediately terminated on the spot and there is no way in heck you aren't getting caught as the Uscan attendant / FES must sign off on your receipt if management / LP demand proof of purchase. If you are off the clock, you don't interact with anything to do with your job (except emergencies) or it's grounds for a write up / management talk, but using your numbers on Uscan off duty, falsification of company records so you are gone. And if you think the union will help you get your job back, it'll be very very rough if at all even possible, as automatic termination level offenses can't really be fought well.
