we recently got a few new hires on the night crew, 2 of them aren't bad, a bit slow, but that's to be expected when they're new. however, the 3rd guy is absolutely disgusting to be around. he will never stop talking to you, as if he has no mental filter whatsoever. most of the stuff i can't be bothered to listen to, and i've stopped responding to him outright. the worst part is his ungodly BO. he will stink up the entire aisle that he's in, leading my boss to put him by himself because nobody else can stand him. he also got my entire department sick because he never covers his mouth when he coughs (he coughs constantly) and sprays his germ filled spit everywhere. surely there's a rule about hygiene in the workplace? we shouldn't have to smell your rancid body ever....
Worked with a few. Tell them they smell. A lot of people can't smell their own BO. So say it nicely but blunt and if they don't try to correct it after that go to management and tell them they need to have the hygiene talk.

If I rush out the door and forget to put on deodorant, within an hour I can already smell myself. So unless this guy has never worn any all his life and doesn't bathe, he knows he stinks.
I don't know if management can't do anything or my store was just lazy and didn't care because we had the same problem with some high school kid that reeked. They talked to him but nothing ever changed. Just got a different job after a few months otherwise he'd still be stinking up the place.

It's a fresh-n-friendly issue.
The disease-vectoring is a public health and safety issue. Mention those things if you have to talk to management.
