I'm in the southwest dallas division and just found out my store is closing. I want to transfer but I have questions and wondering if anyone here has been through this situation too lol. I'm full time status so will our new managers be required to give us 40 hrs a week ? Will we get a pay increase if we go to a bigger store than our home one? like I'm planning on transferring to a signature store.
Generally, Kroger will try to find a position for you within a nearby store. Usually, HR will meet with the employees and keep them informed. I do not know for sure how it will work for you.
As long as your part of a Union they will ask you which store you would like to transfer too. You might want to start asking around now, looking for which store you might get your desired shifts/hours. You should keep your status, insurance, hours, but would be in seniority.

Which store are you at? Do they offer you a buyout? I'm in Dallas division too. Wondering if my store is the one closing.
I've been asking around my district already and running into the same issue at signature stores - only have PT hours. Thats one of the benefits of working at a smaller store , you're always guaranteed 40 hrs lol
