After being scheduled to work from last Tuesday up until today, I finally called in on Saturday and Sunday night.  Tuesday was a 13hr day, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were all long too which left me with 54hrs in the end.  Didn't wanna have to call in twice in a row, but I was sooo sore.  When Thursday and Friday came around all I wanted to do is cry.  Maybe I'm just a big baby though, but even after taking those days off to recover, I'm still achy throughout my body.  It's insane how my hand is still swollen from opening boxes.

Are you using a box cutter to open the boxes?  If not, then ask for one.

Yeah, I am.   Even by using box cutters though you still have to manually open them with your hands since a lot of them are glued shut.  I think my hand hurts way more than ever is 'cause I've never worked in area where labor is quite this intensive.  Maybe I have arthritis?  Not gonna diagnose myself nor will I admit to it either.  It kinda makes me feel like maybe I should've been using my hands more often.  I also developed a cyst on my forearm from working a 60hr week one time.  Something about stressing your tendons too much cause them to appear.  Overnight stocking is more than likely not the job for me.

have you not been doing this long? I mean its rough at times I agree but after the first few months your body seems to be able to adjust to the demands from stocking. My biggest issue it card board cuts on my fingers.

I've been doing it for 5 months, so one would think that I'd be adapt to the conditions, but I'm not.  I wear the gloves from supplies in order to prevent box cuts.

That's rough man and I feel sorry for you. I tend to respect a lot of overnight stockers because I know how hard it is and what they have to go through since nearly all of them are understaffed.
